The website still welcomed me back to the UK.
I was trying to open a legal, mature page that now placed an age-verification screen in front of British visitors. Before connecting the VPN, the site had offered facial age estimation or an identity-document check. I chose a Spanish server, refreshed and expected the prompt to disappear.
It did not.
“UK visitors must verify their age.”
I checked the VPN again. Connected. Spain. New IP address.
